Hi,
i have a bit of a dilemma..

I have my lcd tv wallmounted, and currently i have my wii sensor bar stuck to the underside.

however the range of the sensor bar seems to make the wii-mote unstable (notchy) whilst sat in my gaming position.

any ideas?..
Does such a thing as a wide angle sensor bar exist?.

heres a quick doodle i knocked up.

the X marks my gaming position.

basically meaning i have to raise my arm above shoulder height to get the sensor bar to pick up my actions.

any help appreciated.

You shouldn't have to point directly at it, it's just a couple of IR leds, it doesn't sense anything.

John, its held on with the supplied sticky pads, but the base of the tv is flat, so i cant easily angle it.

lol, noshua... try playing mario kart with the wheel held above shoulder height... it doesnt really work, im quite happy pointing at the screen from my lap..

John, when you are on menu's etc with the hand curser it uses the sensor bar, to determin screen position...also uses it for sports resort.

The curser etc still works whilst the remote is held low.. the movent of it becomes notchy... and not as fluid as if held at shoulder height.

Hope this makes sence..its difficult to describe.

Andone know if they make a sensor bar with wide(er) angle LEDs??

Motion sensing is the 360's big plan to get some more life out of it since they've already maxed out the graphics.

Yeah Project Natal. Not buying into the tech demo until I see it do exactly what they were doing for the demonstration.

Answer to your question, Yes there is after market Wii sensors that are wider... Whether they're good or not is another question.
