i was just wondering if anyone does plastic mouldings for a corsa headlight?

after seeing that focus rs on a mag the other day with a plastic headlight skin with a vent hole cut through it

would be good for someone to do with the ammount of people who track their corsa, i know you can just take a headlight out, but i dont think you can get pulled (in the day)

Is what you want something that is the same shape as a headlight but with a hole in it for a vent? Or does it have shape like a Morette headlight which has got some shape to it?

If enough people are interested then I could make them for a group buy as the mould for something like that would be small and fairly simple...

would be if you could get them.

wouldnt imagine it would be hard to make

big sheet of plastic, head it up arond a corsa headlight and cut it to shape. making the clips for the moulding to screw to the pannel would be the hardest

I was thinking that a fibreglass moulding would do the job nicely. It would mean you could get a nice shape to it and paint it up nicely if you wanted to. I made a dash like that a while back, I wasn't all too keen on it, but I guess if I'd put some more time into getting it right then it could have been good. A lad on here has something similar advertised at the moment if you look in parts offered...

I think you're talking about headlight protectors, you can buy them from Vaux.

They're for a corsa C but you can get them for the B. Just cut a hole in them and paint if you wanted.

So you're trying to tell me you couldn't make one of them out of a set of those? Half the work's done already. All you would need to do is cut a hole and put a couple of L-shaped brackets on it.

But fuck it, just be arsey and get someone to make them from scratch.

Funny thing about those digi-dash's is that they look even more dated than the needles they're replacing

So tacky and never fit right.

Used to do Vacuum forming at school

But Davey is right, Vacucum form around a headlight and work out a way to mount it, winner

Heres the one I made, couldn't find any pics of it fitted so i had to P-shop it into place how i had it but you can make it out in the other pics.

It was made from the chrome plastic inside the headlight

Needs painting after i stopped using it. After the p-shop though i might use it again. It's illegal even though we kept the indicator in.
