Exhaust hits and bangs on rear beam, not blowing yet but will be through soon enough!. Corsa dropped on -60 mm Jamex springs and am getting coilovers next week but this will still happen. but I dont see how some ppl go so low like -100mm etc!?!?! how can they not hit the rear beam or are their exhaust jst constantly on the rear beam and its not too bad?
At moment can get my finger between rear beam on exhaust so hits wen on a bumpyish road. Posted a similar thread a while ago and sum1 had bodged theirs with rubber round rear beam so i have done that but it is melting its way thru the rubber lol and will be back to same soon enough.
Need help as wen i got coilovers id like to go lower . . . . Cheers.

most people have the custom exhaust on so it goes higher over the axle anyway

It's the centre pipe that's the problem, It sits low making the backbox sit lower.
I fitted retaining bat on mine but you could weld and extra hanger under the car for the centre pipe to connect to.

i got coilovers wound right down and a remus race tube and sportex backbox, mine doesn't hit the rear axle at all just get it properly fitted smaller rubbers (escort ones) and cable ties. some places are just shit at fitting aftermarket exhausts.
don;'t think a custom exhaust is worth it in your case, stick with stuff made for the car not a universal box with a tip welded on a.k.a custom

That's me who put the rubber over the beam
I've spent about 3 hours today trying to make it stop banging and whatever I do it hits something else. I'm not even sure if it's actually hitting the rear axle any more as there's a massive gap between them now of at least 5cm. I want to get it up on a ramp and have a look because it's hard to tell what it'll be like once you drop it down again when using a jack.

im down 90 on the back no problems thats with a 2.25 system as well. take the rubbers off the back box and stand on it so it bends it down. then when you put it back on the rubbers the pipe sits higher. simples

Basically make the bend in the centre section tighter? Clever

Great minds and all that
It has just made the knocking quieter for me though Instead of a full on DONK where the pipes are making it sound really loud, it's more of a THUD.
