How do i go about getting bike entitlement on my licence? i wanna take my CBT to get a 125cc runabout, but i need Cat A (i think) on my licence. I only have B1, b and b + e

You can get a CBT without any licence.

oh shit 125cc, actually I don't know if you do need a car licence for one, defo don't for a 50cc.

you can ride a 125 on a car license with a cbt, if you only have a provisional you can only have a 49cc

Only need to be 17+ with a cbt to use a 125 I believe

over 17 with a provisional and cbt you can ride a 125.

what about 23 with full car licence? i all need to do is cbt?

indeed, the bike will need L plates in it too.

Yep, you'll be able to ride up to a 125 with a CBT. To get category A you have to do a test. If you're under 21 and do a "restricted" test (means you're restricted to 33bhp for two years) then you get category A2.

Just thought, mine changed from A2 to A last month Anyone know if you get a new license when it changes? All I've had is a car tax reminder

you have to send it off and get it changed.
