Your best bet is trying a dentist with an emergency number, every practise has to have one, so there is bound to be a dentist in that building that is on call.

My face is swelling up. I'm guessing i have an abscess

Prepare for extreme pain if it's the start of an abcess.

They rang me back within an hour when I had severe toothache 3 weeks back, an hour later I was at an emergency dentist in the city centre.

Been taking codis this evening, and that seems to be doing the trick.

Co-codamol is the best medication ever, I've been using it on and off lately with a bad knee, it spaces me out to the point where I imagine sheeps heads on the people around me.

I had a really bad abscess recently and nhs24 only paid the slightest bit attention when i started vomitting every half hour. Musta spewed about 30 times before a doctor did a house call n gave me a jag in my toosh to stop the sickess and one of tramadol that pretty much knocked me out. Beautiful stuff.

I haven't taken any pain killers in a while, but the pain has gone away. Odd. I think the swelling has gone down a bit too.
Those salty warm water mouthwashes must have done something.
