rite im thinking of changing the head on my corsa, what i want to kno is how do i get the timing for the cam belt rite? plus how much would a garage charge to do it?

to get TDC (top dead centre), the trick is to not knock it out of place in the first place, if you do, you can put the car in 5th gear and rock the car backwards or forwards until it aligns up correctly again.

Again, if it boils down to the fact you need to ask then are you capable of doing the job? I mean, you are changing the head, do you know about torquing head bolts? the tightning sequence?
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Garages charge about £50 an hour plus parts. You will need a new timing kit too so about £150 I'd guess.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

The garage round the corner from me would probably charge you £50 at the most, it's not a massive job. But if you wanna save pennies, DIY.
