Amazing that the UK and US governments are getting the hump about the Libyans celebrating over the release of that Lockerbie bomber.

What did they expect, the Libyans don't exactly like the USA and i'm sure they just look upon this as a weakness of the western ways.

Like they would let even a suspect go had it been over Tripoli instead and an American or British person be found responsible, i'm certain they would face the death sentence.

It does seem a bit of a bad dream that he has even been considered a release to Libya, nevermind actually getting his wishes.

I don't know the in's and out's though tbh so I can't really make a 100% opinion on it yet.

Yes, but I've read suggestions that he may have been innocent and evidence wasn't completely accurate.

I think there are things which us joe public arent being told about all this. Like maybe Lybia (sp) are sending back some of our people (people who joe public dont know who are caught over there....spy's etc) in return.

You never know.

Should have sent him back in a pair of 'special shoes' and downed it just over their airspace.

Not only is it a digrace in the first place, but the way these cunts have acted in Tripoli defies belief.

What are the chances of the UK now saying due to the Libyans taking the piss that absolutely no-one at all from now on will now be released from prison on compassionate grounds.

Absolutely none unfortunately

Maybe not the only person invovled, but I seriously doubt he was completely innocent. His wife and kids used to live round the road from me they had a fucking massive house with infra red cameras and all sorts.

Why should it be the requirement of the UK to pay the health care of a non-british person, someone who will eventually die in prison anyway on a life sentence?

If his family want to help him then the UK should tell them they can pay.

Remember kids the only piece of evidence was the baby clothes the bomb was wrapped in, which the libyan bought, which means apparently nobody in the whole world could of bought the same clothes .
Also the Americans bribed people to say things to get a conviction, with a big chunk of £££ or $$$

I hear the CIA paid to make him the scapegoat because they cant find who actually did it. If this where true (if you read up on the CIA theres a high likely hood) then he was probably wanted for something else intelligence/espionage wise and they pinned the tail on the donkey. Its a bit of a disgrace that a court can find him guilty but then free him?! After a small sentace it seems to just make us the laughing stock of the Western World once again.

He was found guilty, in my mind that its end of, guilty. he should appeal and with the correct evidence he would have been released, all this stuff about it not being him is complete bollocks, he was tried by a court in Holland, not here. if more evidence is available to prove his innocence why was it not brought to court? because its rubbish and he played a very serious role in it.
