Hi all i had 10 mins spare so i did another test on the engine when hot, No1 was 190psi , No2 was 190psi, No3 was 200psi and No4 was 190psi. so i think the rings are ok. i also cleaned the plugs and put them back started the car ran for i few mins then had a look at the plugs and they were black. so does that mean it is over fueling if so how can i adjust? its a 1.4 8v nz cfi its come from an 1994 astra, it also has the pump from the astra. any more answers thanks.

There you go then, unless you have registered the conversion it will be getting tested as a 1.0 12v and the co2 will be way higher from the 1.4 8v

i remember this being done to a 1.2 8v the problem was their is a pulse sensor on the carb of the original engine and not on the 1.4 not sure if this is relivant to your car though think the guy was still tryin to run the 1.2 managment
