Why is it harsh? Not harsh enough IMO. He has a team of doctors to hand every day yet still took over the recommended amount of an over the counter drug.

Hope Preston sue Sheff United tbh.

They even admitted they didn't think he took it as an enhancement drug but still banned him for 9 months. The drug testing is there so that people don't use enhancement drugs and junkie bastards don't drag the sport through the mud. They have admitted he done neither but they still banned him. That's why it's harsh.

He took a drug, meaning to or not, that DID enhance him though. He may not of meant to take it to do that, but the effect it had gave him an advantage.

Its no good him trying to play the idiot and say he didnt know, he has a team of professionals at his beck and call who could of told him, so its no excuse IMO.

I honestly believe Paddy when he says he wasn't aware.... I could understand athlete's or maybe outfield players takin enhancing drugs but not a keeper - what the fuck could he achieve? Jump quicker, or take harder goal kicks

Too harsh imo.

Preston can try and sue, we have a quality legal team so they will get fuk all

Its actually better for a keeper than anyone, as it keeps his mind alert and gives him faster reactions.

If they were to drug test EVERY single player in British football just now I would say at least 10% of them would be fucked whether it be illegal recreational drugs or sport enhancement drugs.

No sympathy from this bystander.

If you're a pro athlete it's your responsibility to make sure you're going about your health the right way. Not just start necking random over the counter drugs.

How so? He's playing at one of the highest levels in the World. The CCC is one of the strongest leagues in World Football. I bet he weighs the same as Frank Lampard. Who is also a pro athlete.

Waaw you had to look that up. Pro is short for professional which of course means you get paid for it. I know an athlete is someone who participates in sport but c,mon I wouldn't class a fat man as an athlete. A darts player is technically an athlete but you wouldn't go around calling them that.

Paddy Kenny is clearly a professional athlete. It's his job, and I bet he is fitter than alot of average joes the same size as him.
