I know it will never happen so I try not to think about it.

I have to attend court in February as a witness. The van driver is being charged.

To be honest, the outcome of court has not bearing on what has happened. Rachael will never be the same again, so not even a life sentence will make a difference. He will get fined, maybe do a small amount of time and thats the end of it. Hes not a bad guy that set out so destroy a human life, he had an accident. Granted, the accident may be his fault, but he didnt intentionally crash into Rachael. We all have small lapses in concentration, and this one has proved to be more devastating than anyone could ever imagine. Thats just life im afraid.

That's a fair point, the guy who crashed will of been suffering, and if he knew about her condition i'd imagine he'll be going through enough that he caused it.

Fair play to you stan, not enough people like you around these days, good luck for the future

I never post in these sort of threads but will for once, I lost a mate last year (August) in a car crash and the driver (supposedly drunk) is in and out of court at the moment, it keeps getting put back and back seems like there will never be any justice.
Also got a mate in hospital in a coma after a tanker hit his van side on, no one is sure what he will be like when he comes round.

Keep it up, you seem to be doing much better than I would in your situation.

You've got your head screwed on my friend, very sensible way of looking at it indeed.

Big time respect to you, I'm not sure I would be that strong and you set a huge example to everyone else. Keep your chin up and keep doing what your doing.

I hope from the bottom of my heart that she will recover one day.

Take care!
