trying to get this off! After my earlier truimph of finaly removing the bolt that holds the bottom pulley mount off this is raining on my parade somewhat
I've undone the 6 allen key bolts and the pump comes towards me about 5mm, then it feels like something metal is stopping it. I've checked in the haynes manual and it doesn't say anything else after undoing the allen bolts.
Am I missing something?

have you got the sump off and un done the metal pick up pipe?

yea the block is on an engine stand, sump off oil pick up off. Black backing plate off,
Basically everything bar the oil pump is off.

you need the bottom main crank bolt off to remove the oil pump not just the alt pulley?

yea got that off as well Nic thats the truimph I was on about!

ah it will be tight because the metal ring that goes inside the crank seal. can see it in that pic. its actually a seperate piece.
