Can anyone explain why on earth my car is just constantly increasing its revs . Ive just fitted a new Idle control valve and its started fine idling and everything then all of a sudden it just constantly revs its nuts off tried eml flasshing and get code 0505 and looked and theres only code for 0500

try taking your foot off the pedal

codes P505 to P509 indicate a fault with the idle speed control system.

haha i have , i dont think its wiped my old codes off though i disconected my battery for a few hours so i dont think its wiped them off and would the idle speed control system explain the stupid revving

i've got the same problem mate, trying to solve it at the moment, but can't fix it!
also got the same code from paper clip test, plus a few others
