I saw a gorgeous arden blue corsa for sale at a dealers earlier, only problem is...under the bonnet is a 1 litre pop pop.

How easy would it be to say, drop a 1.2 16v in? I know you have to change loom, ecu, transponder, key chip, gearbox, shafts, manifold, exhaust. But I'm talking about the engine mounts, are they the same or similar?

Is there much point fitting a 1.2? Surely the difference in performance is not worth the effort.
I'd be looking at a 1.6 or 1.4 at the very least.

well I'm using a 1.2 8v at the minute which is shit on petrol. 26miles for a fiver @ 104.9

erm, I don't wanna 12v because it sounds like a diesel so a 1.2 16v is fine.

You either have a leak or its your driving, no way should you only get 26 miles to £5!

It's probably my driving but I've been told the 8valvers are poor for petrol....especially mine. Even when I drive like a good boy I only manage to JUST get 32 miles

lol, well I decided not to get the car anyway. Too much isn't to my taste on it, it's for sale @ £1695. It's gorgeous though but too much.

yup, when I saw the car I thought "beautiful", then I lifted the bonnet, saw a 1 litre pop pop there, closed the bonnet and walked away I expected a 1.6 at least
