Ainsley - are you running WinXP/2000 or 9x?

It's to do with some networking commands to cut a long story short - some of you maybe aware of the 'net send' command where yu can send a message to a specified IP address - weill thats basically it! To stop it (assuming it's WinXP/2000/NT) open the Services control panel and find the 'Messenger' service (no connection to MSN messenger BTW). Double-click that and then click Stop.
Then set from Automatic to Manual and jobs a good 'un - no more annoying Messenger pop-ups
