which would make it a cavalier wouldnt it? did they have 1.8's in?

why is the 1.8 16v so good when the 1.8 8v had similar power and torques? and is about 20p from a scrappy?

1800 8v out of a mk2 astra or belmont was 111 bhp and 117 torques which ist much less than the 16v version. plus as everyone says its not about the numbers its about the delivery.

123bhp compared to the 1600 16v with 109. surely an air filter on the 1600 would make it the same?

yes but in a vectra, the x20xev is quicker than the x18xe1. even though the x20xev is heavier, its still quicker. therefore the x20xev in a cavalier is a good second or so slower to 60 than a c20xe in a cavalier. therefore meaning that by the power of maths and deduction and internet based clues, a 1.8 16v corsa will be considerably slower than a c20xe, although a shade quicker than a 1.6 16v
