hey all iv lowerd my car and the rubber of the wheels are in the arch, its only the one side rely what rubs so i was wondering how i would have to go about pulling out the arch a little ?? let me no asap because gonna have ago of it in a short while cheers

id look for the reason why it rubs on one side and not the other.. But rolling the edge of the arch will give you a few mm clearance

its just the tyre is a touch fatter i think so if i take the whee;s off jack it up and just tap it out with a hammer all the way round ??

Trim the metal part of the arch, but dont cut the holes of that the plastic arch mounts to, then refit the platic arch. job done

i cant mate the heel goes well into the arch not just a little bit if i was to cut it back it would go way pate the holes so i think im better off just knokcing it out abit

You'd be better off with wheels the right offset.

na i think its the bolts what hold the arches on because iv took the bolts off on the one side and on the orther side i havent so i think its just thouse bolts ill go and take them off now see if it does the job

just took out all of the bolts and it still rubbing not as bad just a little but i cant go round with it rubbing its anoying, any orther sugestions ??? iv pulled the lip out on the arch to and still rubs

put a steel wheel on the car and use a base ball bat to roll round the arches

we used a decat pipe to flare the arches on a corsa and with the coilovers wound right down theres plenty of clearance. if the paint cracks off splash some waxoyl on it

its only the one side, anf they are standard sxi wheels the orther side is fine but the drivers side rubs

thats the side what is rubbing because the arches are off i decided to remove the bolts for abit more clearence but fit still rubs(not as bad as it was) but still does

to be fair its rediculously low so what do you expect mate? and that side is always worse cos of fuel pipe running down this side...

i thoight that tbh but its not on the pipe its slightly rubbing on the inner arch iv pulled the lip out and still rubs but not as bad, i think it is my tyre its a bran new tyre dont no the size of it though

if its any help ive always found falken tyres have the best sloping sidewall for the rear of a corsa..
i know there not best tyres on the market but come on is anybody that good they can feel the difference at the back and ive always ran them and found them ok... and im lowered -100mm in 16in wheels et45 and i get no scrubbing

mine rubs a lil on driver side also lol i'm lowered 70mm on 16's. Might just remove the bolts and stick the arch on wiv somet :-)

Arches on rear of my old corsa were flared professionally cost a bit though.

hi mate my corsa is sat on 16 inch fox racing alloys 45 offset and lowered 45 mm on nova springs and shocks and rubs on drivers side but only when loaded up and i had al four arches flared and cut also i'm running with gsi arches

Can't remember as it was my mate that had it done before i bought it. Think he paid a few hundred quid.
This was with a 17" wheel on ET42. No scrubbage on rear either side after archwork done.
this pics show it a bit better.
If you want more pics u2u lil_g nicely and he might get some for you as he owns it now.

sorry for this but ur best off checking the wheel or axle isnt bent mate i was lowered 60mm on et40 16s had no probs
