hey all im just wondering what car i would need to look for if i wanted a 1.8 engine for my corsa, because i think im gonna buy a rite off car with the engine i need so ino its all working and running fine so what car would it be ???

Astras and Vectra's are definite. Just make sure it doesn't look like this:

Nope, his wasn't out of a Corsa C. I think it was from a Vectra.

Astras and Vectras either before or after 2000 (can't remember which ) came with X18XE1's which is what you want. Corsa C's have the Z18XE which is pretty much the same as far as I'm aware except it has an electronic throttle.

I thought the other 1.8s have 110-115bhp instead of the sris 123bhp?

X18XE1 is the best one to use.. So pre 2001 vectra, astra..
The later Z18XE is fly-by-wire so bit more complicated but possible.

X20XEV and X18XE look the same mate A bit like how X14XE and X16XE do.

X18XE1 is the one you're after, so yes.
I always forget Zafira's, they're based on Astras so have the same engine
