Right ive got a corsa c20xe and ive noticed that the crank moves side to side what can i do to stop this?? Any ideas will be much apprietiated

i can get a bar behind the botton pulley and pull the crank out a little and push it back in, i noticed this wen looking for an oil leak

thrust bearing on number 3 fucked? or maybe someone has fitted a normal bearing? how much movement we talking?

now thats a lot of play...
does sound like the thrust bearings havent been fitted lol or they are worn out and its gone and ground the bloack away lol ether way its going to be time to strip her down

OH NO just seized....
going to replace big end bearings with thrust washer tomorrow and se how long it lasts  hopefully.

Its not big ends. Its the centre main bearing thats the thrust bearing.

i wasnt gna change the thrust bearing just the washer...
what do u suggest??

if its got play like your saying and now has siezed you are looking at £££
your going to need to replace the thrust bearing and the shells and if its siezed then find out why.. you might have goosed the crank

It doesnt have a washer. Number 3main is a thrust bearing. Get it stripd 1st c xactly whats up.
