Its a Honeywell ST9100C, located in the kitchen, next to the combi boiler, with the thermostat (analog twist nob type thing) in the hallway outside.

The thermostat clicks when you go past room temperature either way, is that correct? As the thermostat clicks around 17c most days.

If I leave the controller on Auto surely it should come on when the temp falls below the thermostat set temperature? But it doesnt Its a bit of a pain in the arse as at the minute we are either leaving it on continuous then forgetting its on during the night or press the Extra Hour button and it comes on for an hour then goes off, but doesnt work with the thermostat still obviously.

Thing is it did work the other day but has since stopped responding to it?

auto is usually for timed settings, have you got it set for times? so would only come on if the room stat drops or is below the set temperature within the times....

if u set the heating at continuous can you control the boiler with the room stat??

That would make sense, I havent messed about with the timers cos tbh it doesnt really apply to our needs, we just turn it on when we are cold.

Ill give it a go with the Continuous and stat, although I think Continuous really means what it says

but then as soon as the stat has reached temp its gona shut down the boiler,

run mine on continuous at 19*C in a new build flat so doesnt really come on that much, maybe during the night and when am out at work turn it down to 15*C just in case it gets freezing like it has been this weekend.. ive got a wee one so cant let the house get too cold...
