If you have an amp which is rated to 2 ohms impedance, what would happen if you used a 3 ohm speaker on it?

Nothing much, unless the amp was specific 2ohm, most amps are 2-4ohm stable so 3ohm will be fine.
What sub are you driving? W7?

it would just give it less power than it's 2ohm rated power. Will not damage the amp at all
Only damages them running lower impedance

I'm testing sex using a car amp, a small vibrational shaker, an accelerometer and a force transducer all hooked up to a piece of software I'm writing. I'll report my findings
