you are asking this before lookingn into it

You need to pay Import Tax, VAT, shipping, handling etc etc

say (2.5k + 600 shippig ) then 27.5% tax (will be after Jan)

I'd estimate about 4k+.... for a car you havent seen.

Pay a bit more and get one in the UK that you can test and be sure of its history for more than a month.

It isnt the right time to be importing just now

The thing that always puts me off is buying a car blind

Would rather go through a import company for some comeback or get one already here

little ferry ports have nothing to do with RoRo car imports.

Liverpool Port Auctions may be worth a swatche though. They have a website.

as said in PM...

IN MY OPINION

Its is not worth importing that car for that price. Look on Autotrader / PistonHeads... you can get a DC2 typeR for similar money in the UK. Much less risk involved, you know some of the history, you can inspect the car... you have more rights... the list goes on.

You have missed the boat (pun intended ) Importing isnt really worth it on cars like this just now. The exchange rate was much better a few years back. I used to import stuff for cars all the time... I just buy it in the UK now. Get it quicker, at roughly the same price... and more come back if anything should go wrong.
