I think it looks fantastic.
Judging by the fact that it's LHD, i'd say it's probably spent many a long year in North America either partly derelict or as a daily driver for someone with little idea of it's worth, hence it's condition.
Looks like the closest thing one is likely to get to a Jap Rat in my estimation.
The present owner has probably just taken the car in rough condition and enhanced it in his own taste. Good luck to him I say. I'd very much enjoy owning that car were it not left hand drive.
