I'd like a convertible too, just the roof repairs/replacement that puts me off. I've seen some nice models for about £5500, with all mod cons, as long as the engines are good for 150k I wouldnt mind one with around 90k, which I have seen, although not common, and pre facelift.

its very average imo if you use a decent indy garage, people think bmws cost the earth to run but they are very reasonable, even bmw give you discount if the car is over 4 years old.
it only gets pricey if some major needs replacing, or its an m3

174 more likely. Though 155 is plenty fast enough & it gets there in no time.

330Ci much more suited to UK roads too. Dads M3 snapped both rear springs at 17k miles. BMW said it was common place in the UK and about the right mileage

Kind of what we thought. But I can't imagine BMW did have our acney-plagued roads in mind when the designed it.

all e46's snap rear springs.
330's are completely different to M3s. Different type of car not just more horse power.
You also wojt find an M3 worth purchasing for 5k.
330 will be refined, easy to drive and handle well. Great vfm, dash is ergonomic masterpeice imo.
Get one dont look back

Just wondered how they are, i've read a few reviews, they seem to be a good solid car.
Reliability, faults, quality etc.
Power steering pumps pack up on them and the front wishbone bushes wear out.
Lovely cars to drive though.
