i sometimes use text speak on here when im browsing on my mobile in work.
1) because i don't really get much time if i want to reply.
and
2) my phone likes to make a screen come up saying ''do you want to stay connected?'' even though it's not idle and i'm using it that very second which messes the reply box up on this site meaning i have to disconnet and re-connect in order to post the reply.

I refuse to use text speak even on my mobile, it takes literally a couple of seconds to type things out correctly. Normal spelling mistakes don't bother me either, I make them all the time, but thinking 'lose' is spelt 'loose' annoys the shit out of me  That isn't poor spelling it is retarded.

have you ever considered that some people might be dyslexic or what not??? and therefore find it hard or impossible to spell correctly?
or on the other hand they might not give a flying fuck and as long as people understand them, they don't care...
i try and spell correctly, but it doesn't really bother me when other people make mistakes

Dyslexia is an absolutely terrible excuse. Dyslexic people are able copy and paste the word that they just pasted in to Word or a Google search and get it checked. If they do a web search they can even go to answers.com or something and check that the word that they picked is the one they want.
To not do so is lazy, whether you're dyslexic or otherwise. If it's not right, check it until it is. Don't give it a name thinking that'll somehow excuse it. It undermines the condition to throw it in there as the reason to be slovenly and lazy.
