Think its a special feature in Vauxhalls. Mine peaks at about 69degrees when its very cold. And minimums of minus 20degrees when its raining.
My sisters Astra has similar temperature reading abilities.

I have had 2 corsas and both temp gauges are always spot on. Freaky or what!
