The slush was mental here too. One minute I was flying up the motorway, The next it was a couple of inches deep in slush and the heavy rain had turned into massive chunks of snow.
Took the time to slow down before I was in it. Suprised no-one crashed tbf. Feel for anyone further up than the south coast, weather is immense.
Apparently going to be worse tonight too. Gutted, I need to get the golf to VW in the morning for a new battery. The cold killed mine today

I don't think our journey home last night was as bad in comparison to others on this thread; 1 hour as opposed to a normal 15-20 minute journey home.

20mins instead of the usual 8 for me, was absolute gridlock the other way though, cars abandoned and loads of people walking. my brother left his car at the bottom of a hill near me, later on we went to get it and helped loads of other people.
my mate had it worse though, left work at 5 stuck on the m40 till 11pm then spent the night in john lewis ,high wycome in the bed department was on gmtv this morning

Ithought i'd share my story to make you all feel better as it was difficult travelling yesterday, i spend best part of 12 hours working from home in the warm near a heat source eating when i felt like it and playing the odd bit of COD....
