I'm seriously thinking of getting an evo 7. I'm 22 and will have 5 years no claims february.

What companies are best for insuring an evo at 22?.

I'd like the mrs on the policy too but she is only 20 with 2 years licence april. Is this going to kill the premuim rate?

What kind of prices do others pay at 22 for group 17-20 cars?

i think you will be lucky to get a cheap quote, most companies will only insure people on them sort of cars at 25 and over. try a broker of some sort would be my advice, your missus on it would put it up i believel.

my s2k is group 20, im 23 and paying 1300 fully comp. that said, last year i tried to get insured on one and it was coming up at over £3k

some insurers wouldnt touch me till i was 25.

worth calling a few up, might get a surprisingly cheap quote.

I'm getting quotes of 2-3k for me on confused etc. Surely there are some specialist insurers to cater for young drivers on evo's? With 5 years ncb too i'd expect it to be around 1.5-2k on average surely?

Your location and occupation will play a big part in that quote.

This is why the high premiums are annoying me. I do 5000 miles a year max and I don't use the car for work as I got the works van. Rekon the mrs is out the question, all 5k plus quotes

Try Sky insurance, Adrian Flux or HIC.

Strongly recommend Sky though.

Pace Ward are the evo insurance specialists.

They dont always offer cheaper quotes tho and you have to phone them for a quote.
