hi im new to the forum thought id make a post, currently building an x14xe nova. have no idea why i went for that engine but seems to go well in my mates nova. but any info on my conversion and things will be great! one thing does anyone know what belt i can run once i de-ecotec my engine? or is the best way to follow it around once its been removed with abit of string and use a belt the same size? also whats the best way to get power out of these engines? at the moment i have a full s/s straight through going on and an induction kit, but unsure off what else to do? get the ecu flashed?

welcome to the site. cheapest and best mod you can do to that engine is to get a inlet manifold

thanks all!!
meant de-ecotec like take off the air con set up off, and the power steering pump and all the other stuff attached to the engine i wont be using!.
like a mantzel style one? how hard are they to change?

fail to see how doing any of that would be de-ecotec ing the engine, removeing the inlet manifold would be a start plus the air blower thing near the manifold

not sure thats what my mate called it when he done it to his engine, but anyway what ever you want to call it. just dont want to be running alot of stuff i dont need which is causing me to loose power over nothing

might look into one of them inlets sounds like a good gain and seen a few people on here with them.
