The other month whilst on my hunt round the local scrapyards, i nabbed myself a pair of Depo headlights for £10, but their the fully clear type (like originals, except dont have a horrible yellow glow)

Just wondering, is it posssible to remove the glass and tint the insides myself?

How do i do it? the glass seems to be clamped with small metal clips, but is it sealed also?

iirc the clips flick up then you have to heat them in the oven. and with a little bit of persuasion the come open, spray the insides up and seal them closed

I'm about to do this with my new one when I've had my dinner lol. Take all the metal clips off.

Put the light in oven (sounds stupid I know) gas mark 2 ish. Leave for a couple of minutes, but stay with it and keep checking it. Then use a large flat blade screwdriver and prise it open all the way around. Do same with other side, and job done.

Paint the insides, then use some strong clear silicone to stick back together, making sure it's sealed all the way around, otherwise they will steam up all the time!
