I think it was due to the ABS mate?

ie they started in 98 but only the cars with ABS had 5 stud?

think it was only 2.0litre motors and above that got it

Sport, Sri, Gsi, coupes (apart from the 1.6) and the 2.0dti had 5 stud

1.8 models upwards with ABS had the 5 stud wheels

My old 1.6 had 4 stud SRi Wheels

Pretty sure its the 1.7 and upwards have the 5 studs.

Mine is 5 stud and its a 2000 w reg. Tyring to get rid of a set of steelies for it.

my new astra is 1600 16v 2001 and im assuming its 4 stud from comments, il obv have a look when i pick it up. any 16" alloys anyone would recommend?
