How do you go about fitting one of these:

From what i gather its just a case of running wire from it to the live and earth feed on the battery?
im probably totally wrong so i thought i best ask

I'd have thought it would be a case of taking the negative lead off the battery and putting the switch between it and earth.

if you use the switch to cut off the battery buy just fitting it to the live or earth then the car will still run and kill the alternator, same as if you removed the battery when the cars still running

You need an FIA one if you want it to be a kill switch. If you just want battery isolation it is fine.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

i had the battery behind the passenger seat and when i wired in the kill switch, i cut a hole in the panel behind the door...

it was a breaker in the main live wire, and its just got to go between the battery and the loom somewhere. not hard to wire in
