The Corsa has been playing up recently.
I know my drivers top mount is in need of replacing as it is knocking like hell.

When i drive, i have to have my steering wheel at a silly angle to keep straight, and when i turn instead of the car turning as it should, it feels like it turns 50% of the turning circle that it would normally

Also when i turn it turns itself. Normally the wheel would 'centre' itself after turning, yes? Well the wheel turns the opposite way (towards full lock)


But when its warmed up - after couple mins danger driving and struggling to stay on the road - its fine

Any ideas? Ive had a look around at what i can without removing the wheels and nothing looks out of place.

Fluid PAS? Could be the fluid being cold, check the level.

Checked the level.
Haynes said 'when the engine is cold the fluid should be on the lower marker of the dipstick'

Mine didnt even reach the dipstick

Topped it up and so far seems to have been the issue

Might also explain why it was okay once warm as it would expand.
