I found this on ebay, i Can't see how it would make your car faster, Sounds a bit far-fetched.
Heres the link

no
if you have more than 1 it doesnt give 25bhp each
its like 25 for the first
20 for the second
15 for third
10 for fourth
5 for fifth
may not be proper numbers
but i got 60 bhp from fitting 3 and 75 from 5

My only guess is it's an electric box that overrides some programming in the ECU to tell change the carb mixture.
But my car is 1.2 8v, it has 45bhp out the factory, nowadays, it will be lucky to have 35bhp left, so if that little box adds 25bhp to my shit car, I will eat my sunday hat. I think it's for the bigger engines, if anything....Like the expensive fuels, they give no extra ponies, unless you're sat in a subaru or evo etc.

wether they work or not i remember seeing a list of bhp gains for each model engine and yeah the bigger engines supposedly got the bigger gains. lucky to get an extra bhp on a 1.2 8v probably.

exactly, I'm just saying, even if it works, advertising it as +25bhp gain, is a bit misleading

It's a resistor inside the plastic box. Nothing more.

well doesn't the ECU tell the system how much fuel/air to let in? That's what I thought

Just fools the ECU and chucks aload more fuel in making the engine run rich, if anything you'll lose power
