What pre-paid card did you get?

I used to use a Virgin pre-paid one, was quite good and you could look at your transactions online.

I got a proper credit card since then though so don't use it any more.

You can pre-pay on a normal credit card and then you don't have to pay any fees

Not always, I can't on my barclaycard, paying off in full every months achieves the same thing though.

There's one that's recommended on the Martin Lewis money site which improves your credit rating when you use it, I was tempted with it at one point, but turns out I just can't get a phone contract, mortgage is fine, got one of them, but no phone contract. Stupid O2 (and me) from 7 years ago!

They have astro-APR. I'd make sure you pay that off each month.

You shouldn't really apply for a few at a time either, it all gets logged down.

If you get rejected for all three your credit rating will take a hit. Should only really apply for credit once a month!
