Just don't ram into any vans with a towbar at 5mph..

It may leave you with a £12,000 bill (did you read the story on the GTR board?)

Basically a GTR driver just bumped into a back of a van, literally, just bumped into it. No damage to the car, but the van had a towbar.

It resulted in the human safty device going off and popping the bonnet, which in turn triggers a whole load of other safty gubbins.

he took it to a dealer, and becuase all the parts needed resetting (something to do with the special hinges for the bonnet), the bill came out at over £11k!!!!!

Its caused a huge riot on the GTR board, Nissan have got involved and everything. People are going mental about it

yup... read about it a while back, but thought it was something like 7k which is still a night mare.

I raced a few GTR's on the 1/4mile. They all beat me head to head (they are easier to launch than our r32 GTR i think) but once I ran a more relaxed start in my own time I beat them all

11.0 at 131mph

They got close though, 11.1 and 11.2 i think for 2 different cars (one is Scotty, eck's mate). They were both running about 600bhp i think

My bad, I thought it was into 5 figure numbers (maybe inc labour?). I know the post was about 100 pages long

Still, for a standard £55k car, getting into 11's is still bloody impressive.

There are lots of other cars with similar technology on them which would cost equally massive amounts of money when the airbags and bonnet goes off.

Yeah I know, have you already mentioned it in here then? as I haven't read the full thread.

Edit: Now I see you did above.
