Not really, every time the government proposes a rise in fuel duty one of these petitions pops up and it never works.

Fact of the matter is motorists are an easy target for the government to make money off of and thats not gonna change any time soon.

What they really need to do is stop paying MPs travel expenses, then maybe they'd realise just how much there increases in fuel duty affect people in the real world.

Yeah but by stating his oppinion in this thread it'll get read by the people that it was aimed at.

Odds are unless that petition reaches an epic number of people no MP will ever actually bother to look at it.
