how is out the left illegal, mines passed MOTs two years running, so did jimmy, and so did that red LET.
out the left is NOT illegal as long as the exhaust is within the decibel limits and within the confines of the cars perimeter.

what if your in a 2 lane road into town ect and its on right side?? same thing as being on left? thing same prob as you still gota drive past ppl :S

I can't see it being illegal, most of the gas/smoke will trail behind you when driving and most cars do not smoke bad out the exhaust either. A car that smokes bad out of the exhaust that is at the rear of the car and blocking the view of cars behind is just as dangerous as one that is out the side of the car, I can't see it being illegal and if an MOT tester doesn't pass it, flip them the V's and go somewhere sensible as most MOT testers fail things they are unsure about because they are not certain on the law.

i had them on both sides on the nova, never had an issue with them. dodge vipers have them too.

WTF how the hell would caterhams get though a SVA if there not allowed on the left lmao.
Think about the exhaust back boxes that point to left as they come out the back of the car.
