just a quickie before I order it, this thing is for wiring into my rear speaker wires to give me an amp pre out isnt it? due to the phone system in my car I cant upgrade to a different HU and this would let me put a sub in?

Yes mate thats the kind of thing you need, for £15 though i'd be abit dubious about the quality of it.

Im not having a mega instal so Il try it, they need a +12v dont they?

Nope  If its a good one it'll have 4 inputs two + and two -'s and an earth

Do you already have ur amp/sub?
Just buy an amp with a high level input on it already....
