ok well my car's bodywork got damaged, one rear quarter, the filler came off, so I refillered it and bodge sprayed.
the other rear quarter got dented, I manage to un-dent it but it's still distorted.
Just been to a bodyshop round here where my friend had some work on his car done and their work seem really good.
Been quoted £30 to remove the dent in the rear quarter, an extra £10 to remove 3 dents on the roof line (between roof rack and rear window) and £200 to repaint my passenger side door, including the inside and repaint the rear quarter that of the side I bodge painted.
Good quote yes? £240

yer, i thought so too. at first i was thinking that because the rear quarters are part of the car's outter shell, part of the structure, i might have to get 2 new quarters welded in, but i asked the guy and he said it'll be fine and he can get the dents out as good as new and his paintwork looked good so, im really excited. just gotta get saving some monies now

Make the thread now, so everybody can see the cars progress, not much point showing a project when the work is done

I am going to, that's what I said or what I meant. I just need to give the car a good clean first. It's epicly dirty.
and cheers Breathecosse, like I said I went in the shop and looked at images of his previous work and my mate had his corsa painted there and his came out really well so I have high hopes for this place. I can't wait tbh

thats the thing matey it is a SHOP with a window took out so he can drive a car in!
it isnt a spray bay at all, if the council knew what he does he would be shut down !
NO extraction
NO oven to bake (cars not buns ppl)
NO real safety gear just a cheap £5.99 mask just good enough for dust
everyone elses wheels panels ect in the same room as he sprays (personally seen)
and most importantly i know people that have gone in with £800+alloys and hes tryed fobbing them off with £50 fuked wheels when they just go missing
and if anyone else wants these amazingly cheap paintjobs its "pukka paintworks" in grimsby
one thing ya learn in life is ya pay for what ya get matey ! ! ! !
must have been good piks of previous work (other companies work) to get ya all excited lol

well, I will take your word for it. I thought it was a good idea going to this bodyshop for some work, but I have met you and I trust you. What bodyshop in Grimsby area do you reccommend?
