little update for you,

ripped the vx apart start of december to tidy it up, few cracks comeing etc! then got busy over christmas at the pub, so it got left in bits, then the cold weather came which didnt help!

finally got back onto it last week but weather was still not good and conditions for painting were not good so its ended up being bit of a rough job really! couple of runs, but shine is good! just wanted to get it back in one piece and on the road again, maybe colour change in summertime when its hotter in my shed!

think its cost around £100-150 to tidy up and give quick re spray to so its ok!

few quick pics i have just taken.........

also managed to get brand new set of compo's! 16inch front and 17 rears for £500 quid new :-) just need tires and paint them black!

quick picture of the van which went on a track day on saturday at olton park, everything well and no brakages which i was pleased about, suprised alot of cars i would say! was just on road tires, rubbish coilovers with camber not set up, standard gsi turbo brakes but did well on track!

its getting treated to 3inch bore exhaust next with sports cat and then few other bits then off for a re map and should see 300hp:-)

want lsd, bigger brakes, rear anti roll bar, r888's for the van now also! hehehehe

I think you should come up and respray my car for £100-150

both look spot on mate

If the van is 5 stud the MO's should defo go on it

u read comment from the driver on there? says he was doing 140 coming up to that last corner, they are fast cars but not that fast! and said he was testing new brake pads and locked up, dont c him locking up, just power on to early!

oh yea the noble did that on his opening lap, didnt even do 1 comple lap all day, whoops

Yeah i read that, what a load of bollocks

Too much power too early and he just over corrected it, would have been better off letting it swap ends, they moved the barrier back on the inside a few months ago for that exact situation.

he was going round the corner fine but got giddy with the loud pedal and paid for it. why make excuses up when theres a video of it right there. doesnt matter if he locked up prior to the corner that didnt make him crash!

The braking and locking up doesnt even make sense, unless its a complete different crash to the one in that video, you can hear him on the loud pedal just before it goes wrong

it crossed my mind if he was trying to get the back out for camera's on that corner and it went wrong??!! cos it was one of the good places to watch for people, then again prodrive aston martin also went into barrier there earlier! whoops,

did u c the white golf mk5 gti going round, was impressed with that! looked pretty stock, i tried keeping up in the van and maybe could off if i was a good driver! lol

but even on straights it was as fast if not faster then van, for heavy car i was very impressed

I think that chap is off Northloop, I rekon it had some decent power and the DSG box as the gear changes were insanely fast, tasty looking brakes on it as well.
