Anyone know if they pay you out of your existing contract if you are taking a new one out with them?
Only got 4 months left on my current contract, but desperatly need a new phone after my N95 packed in and i've been stuck with a peice of shit Nokia that barley even texts
Someone at work today told me they did but I think its a bit of a strange one, anyone on here had any experience. Cant see anything on the website and its a bit of trek to my nearest store so would rather know whats what before I go down
Cheers

What do they do, just give you the brass then you ring up and cancel?
My current phone cost £7.99 so wont be getting anything in via trade in

They dont buy you out, they just offer you a sum of money for trade in. You should get £150 for an N95. What they say is they will give you enough money to pay the contract off, but you have to ring up your network provider every month and lower your plan by £5 each month otherwise its not enough to cover it.
Contracts are a big waste of cash now anyway. T mobile do a 'rolling contract' where you top up £15 a month and get unlimited free texts and free internet. considerably cheaper than the £45-£50 a month that phone companies charge you for one of the latest phones.

That may throw a spanner in the works as my N95 is long gone now.
Bollocks.

Ooops I was about to say the N95 has a two year warranty. I just popped into a Carphone Warehouse and they send it away for repair.
I didn't even buy the phone from them. Got a new phone off Nokia as well

I went in to do a tradei n told them i had 3 months left at £30 a month so they gave me the £90 to pay it off all it means is you have to pay more month for your new contract when you do a trade in or more for your hand set, and dont worry about what phone they told me to go to whsmith and but a nokia for £10 and they gave me £40 trade in so dont worry about what phone if they need the new sign up's that month they throw stuff at you

Yup.
As Im with orange and only got 700 mins, and unlimited texts, for £30. Phones4u said that they can give me 1100 mins, unlimited texts & internet plus buy my contract and give me a brand new BlackBerry for £30. (al on vodaphone). They guy said coem back when you've got 10mnths left on your contract and i'll do that or a better deal for ya.
I'd go for it Danny.
