My mates been trying to get his done since he bought his but with no luck.

White ones are very rare and tend to go for a bit more cash. I'd personally go for the Red.

Just going by one I have seen out, the bloke said it was 315bhp or something? Must be mappable! I couldn't say where though

Spec is considering price tag etc - would definitely own one. And being Jap it theoretically should go on forever and not really break lol.

Do you know its a focus really?

mine's been fine thankyou very much. only problems i've had are the sideskirts peeling away from the body (factory fault, fixed under warranty) and an engine malfunction due to me smashing a sensor whilst sorting the suspension out.

the mazda has a very different and very reliable engine and body.

Didn't mean that it wasn't reliable, just meant its not really jap.

I thought it was the same T5 engine they use in fords and ovlov's?

No. It's a 2.3 4-Cyl Turbo

Complete Mazda Engine with no Ford involvement, originally used in the AWD Mazda 6 MPS.

Also it doesn't use a full exact copy of the Focus chassis, just the same basic layout with suspension tweaks etc by Mazda

Transmission isn't Focus based either - the 3 MPS has the 6-spd Box with LSD (Which the Focus doesn't use)

I'm not 100% sure on the Brakes, they may be the same as the ST, but the fronts are 320mm Volvo sourced Items.

The new shape 3 MPS has even LESS Ford involvement (Mazdas own Chassis etc) as Ford no longer have as many shares/stakes in Mazda, so tech sharing is minimal nowadays. Ford sold shares and retained a level that wouldn't give them control of the Company in late 2008.

Wow, what an amazing car! Didn't drive it too much but felt good and it's so fast, was wet so was just spinning in 2nd but 3rd was gripping well enough to put your head back in the seat. Bloke has an air filter on it too and dumps really nice, I love it. Need to get my car sold asap.

As soon as I have got rid of mine I can get it, put mine on AT and PH so hopefully will go in time. This MPS is only in Maidstone so only down the road which is really handy. Really been looked after too. Proper in love with it lol. Driving a VXR tomorrow or soon at least so will see, but for the money/spec/uniqueness the MPS is currently winning by far!

Insurance is £1800 FC...very expensive lol. But I am 21, 0 NCB, at fault accident worth £16k. Alot of mates pay that without the crashes and with NCB so it's not too bad considering. Plus it's a 2.3 Turbo, not bad at all.
