I recognise most of the words you have used but I fail to see what you are saying.

could be a number of things. if i was you i would check the rest of the car over and if everything else is mint i would just get a x16xe engine and put that in there. only thing is to check everything it is handy to have the engine working lol. i wouldnt offer any more than £400-£500 even if in mint condtion. which i recon it most probs isnt if the engine has got to that state.

If you put the car in 5th gear and push it, the engine should turn over, not start, just turn over if you get me? If it does, the engine isn't seized but could be a number of things. Can of worms I reckon mate.

ok then the best way to see if the enigne is seezed is to jack up the car and take off the drivers wheel and the bit of plastic in the inner arch so you can see the crank pully.

then put the car in neutral find a socket that will fit the bolt in the middle and turn it round clockwise. keep turning untill the engine has made at least one full turn. it mite be easyer to take off the cambelt casing and mark the cambelt and keep turing untill the belt has gone all the way round.

1- if it goes all the way round then it is not seezed.
2- listen out for nocks and feel if it goes realy hard to turn in areas. (do not force it to turn).

your could also take out the sparkplugs and place long sticks down into the holes that will show you the pistons are moving up and down.

if it wont turn at all then i wouldnt entertain fixing the engine as the parts would be more than buying another enigne
