Hey guys,
I say pictures as there's only actually 3 as the car decided to fail on me at my trackday and is now back in to be fixed,i took ages to get it ready but still lots to do.
Got messed about with a set of speedlines so i had to find some wheels quick, Found some Ronals in 15x7 et15 for under 100 pounds so snapped them up and sprayed them matt black, got the R888s on and various other things.
Just need to get an oil cooler on there and make it even lighter, short of stripping it all can anyone tell me other stuff i can possibly do that doesn't cost to much??, can involve a grinder if neccesary :lol
Plans for the outside are,
Spray lower splitter white
Drill holes behind number plate to try and aide cooling
Stick on number plate to right of recess
Black sunstrip so i can remove visors
Yellow/mustard mirror caps with black decal
Find another set of wheels for Michelins
AST coilovers
Black mask my PH3 headlights
OMP 10 point cage
Oil cooler
Then just try and develop it when i have time,
Anyone hope you like and don't think i'm killing a rallye :whistle

Yeah, r888s grip is amazing.
Today was awesome, bottom end is screwed on the rallye though so in to be fixed. will be a fully reconned engine when it's done though

Yeah they do, only a single baffle though so can still suffer from oil surge

a048r by yoko, dunlop do some but cant think what they are called. yoko's are a good bit more than toyo's but i found them to be a lot better for grip than toyo's.

I would prioritise a cage over cooling aids. A standard engine shouldnt run that hot with the standard oil cooler anyway, I say its only really worth the sacrifice if its essential, holes in the front cause drag too that a lot of the time isnt justifiable. Tyre paint is gash too! They are great cars though, imagine its a lot of fun.

Thanks for your opinions, are you aware of how much drag holes create? I'm 100% sure the extra cooling will be more beneficial than a tiny bit of drag engines run far more efficiently when cool.

I like the tyre paint does with the theame of the car, would be different if it was a standard road car

Im not entirely sure, I just remember some old chap on Rallye register going into details when I had my bumper drilled, raising the bonnet did the job though. Turned out every track day I did afterwards it rained so I left the numberplate over the holes anyway. I think the amount of drag is actually quite significant, there is a book on race car aerodynamics which goes into detail. Could just drill one of those fog blanks out and route a cold air feed from it?

I disagree. The car looks purposeful, but anyone who knows anything about track cars will know they have been painted which doesnt suit the whole performance orientation.

Nah, they are in between the R888 and T1-R, they are a R888 with more grooves (like the T1-R) to aid wet performance
