Does anyone know what the difference will be between a 12" sub that is set to 2 Ohms and one set to 4 Ohms?

Sound quality etc?

ps - i've posted in the ice section but had no reply, and got a mate waiting for an answer

a 2 ohm sub needs an amp that can handle it - some 4 ohm amps are 2 ohm stable - if its not it will fry.

if u run a class-d amp at 2ohms itll put out more power. ohm rating will affect SPL(Sound Pressure Level) not SQ (Sound Quality)

not true, im running my 2ohm mono stable amp at 1ohm and have been for 5 weeks at high volumes, it heats up more at 1ohm but isnt doing serious harm, although does depend on build quality of the amp.

managing what? how am im managing to run a 1ohm load? easy, 2 x dual 4ohm voice coil subs.
