Not working at all, or soft pedal?

V6 brakes have a soft pedal.

Also, you have ensured the bleed nipple is up the top yeah?

Servo has trouble handling them, but they should work. Will always get a spongey pedal though.

There a sod to get a good pedal as said st/steel hoses is a must and lots and lots of carfull bleeding, you can get them not to bad as I have, but on reflection I should have got 2.0 L turbo ones and meriva discs. I am use to them now and the wife does not moan and its her car really so they can,t be that bad. oh I wonder if the 3.0L ones use the same size piston as the 2.5L should do I suppose.

Before you bled them, I take it you pressed the brakes a few times to seat the calipers pistons first?

Try a eazibleed kit from halfrauds or use what I used a mityvac bleed kit, you do need st/hoses to stand a better chance, they do get better but its bloody hard work.

When you put the calipers on, the piston is usually still right in the caliper body, so when you put on the brake pads there is a gap between the disk and pads. So you have to pump the pedal before bleeding to put the pistons out to close the pads against the disks, then you commence bleeding.

But you have to pump the pedal anyway before opening the nipple.
Surely he wouldnt just open the nipple straight away.
Even if he did, when he closed it,he would need to pump the pedal again b4 opening it to release the fluid/air.
