hi, i have a blown engine in a 1.4 8v and am looking to convert it to a 1.6 16v, i am asking for reliable price estimates for all parts including engine being sourced... and then for it to be fitted.

if anyone can give me a rough price id b very gratefull, thanks

600, you dont need to buy any mounts, only one that different is the fron passengr side, and it can be unbolted of the 1.4 engine and bolted onto the 1.6
i say 600 total(lways alow more)

I paid about £1200 for a new 1.6 lump for a GSi when I blew mine up, right enough that was a wee while ago

I paid £250 for a complete engine,around £350 for full service including clutch & water pump & belts ect and paid a lad £350 for fitting the engine.
