Probaby bit of an unusal question tbh. But I will more than likely be picking up a VW Caddy-non runner from Wales, so I was wondering if anyone has hired a tow-truck and done similar? If so how old do you have to be, how long must you of been driving for? etc. My license only allows me to drive up to 3.5 tonne but I would of thought that would of been ok?

licence womt cover you as its 3.5 tonne gross weight

is this the one in Classifieds? If so, would you want to keep the load bay cover?

I might know someone who'd buy it and they're only 20mins or so from you

3.5t towing upto 750kg; or 3500kg combined so long as the towing vehicle weighs more than the load; ie 2000kg truck towing a 1500kg load

a tow truck will be near 3 tonne i would suspect

u normally need to be 25 to hire one of these with minimu 2 years experence and a 7.5t license but then can vary on different areas, most tow trucks are 3.5t unladen

Yeah in parts offerd Lee, the load bay cover? Is that the one that's propped up in his garage or the one on the cab now?

So I would be ok? or should I get someone that's got a lorry license, I'm such a noob when it comes to stuff like this.
