how much hassle is it to change an engine on a v5, i know you only have to change the cc and add the engine number but once its senbt off is that it?

need engineers tpye report on headed paper these days. altough sometimes thy change it and just send it back.

would you need go to the person who fitted the engine for the report then?

depends if they are a lisenced garage or not. if not need to find one that will check over car and write a report out. will cost you though.

I sent mine of without proof off it, just got letter back saying i need it 3 weeks later:@

I've just changed mine and had to go to a dvla centre it was fine all they do is check the vin and engine numbers get you to start the engine and just have a quick look at it, it was free to have it inspected and the only hassle was i had to get it trailored there, but was worth it
