Couple guys at work have private lease hire cars. Its ok I suppose you get a new car every 3yrs & only need to pay for insurance on top of the lease fee.
Not sure if its something id want to do,

Yeh your pretty tied down for the duration and if your anything like me you get bored of a car after 6 months or so. Saying that i'd rather take this route than HP on a car.

If you get bored after 6 months then get a 6 month lease. Simple.

My mate pays £330 ish a month for a a3 2.0 tdi s line with loads of options.
Its not for me as i enjoy the owning and looking after aspect of cars but for him its perfect, he nails it for a year and a half, only pays for insurance and tyres and can generaly just abuse it.

Huge payments to cover massive depreciation on a 6 month lease though.
Contract hire is good if you are VAT registered, otherwise you have to add VAT to the monthly prices. And maintenance is usually only included if stated.

Yeah, you do pay more, but that's the price of a new car every 6 months.
People say it's better to own your car, etc. but you're no better off with a brand new car on finance IMO.

Definitely, no ball ache selling on or trading in either, just hand it back and get a new one.
